Irene Najjingo (BBLT, Msc. CEB) is a project coordinator and research fellow at Makerere University Lung Institute.
She is an Epidemiologist and Bio-statistician with experience in medical research of over 10 years. She has done research in lung health and respiratory illnesses some of which has been published in peer reviewed journals. Her focus is in lung cancer, Tuberculosis, respiratory illness among children and adults.

She has successfully written and worn scholarships and fellowships. She is registered with Uganda Medical Laboratory Technology Association, African Test and Treat Initiative for Cancer, Pan African Thoracic Society (PATS), American Thoracic Society among others.
