DOLs Snoring: Good sleep or a Healthy Alarm?
The Lung Institute invites you to join the upcoming Day of Lung Science (DOLS) Webinar in recognition of World Sleep Day, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of healthy sleep and its impact on overall health.
Sleep plays a critical role in maintaining physical and mental wellbeing. However, common symptoms such as loud snoring are often ignored or mistaken for normal sleep, yet they may signal underlying sleep disorders that can affect the heart, brain, and lungs. This webinar will explore the importance of sleep health, the potential risks associated with snoring, and when individuals should seek medical attention.
The session will be presented by Dr. Ivan Kimuli, Internal Medicine Physician, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine specialist, and Deputy Director and Research Scientist at the Makerere University Lung Institute. The webinar will be moderated by Prof. William Worodria, Senior Consultant Physician and Pulmonologist.
