Dr. Gerald Kayingo

Alumnus Gerald Kayingo, PhD, MMSc, PA-C (class 2007) has recently accepted the role of Physician Assistant Program Director, to begin in December 2015 at the UC Davis PA program. Formerly part of the core Yale PA Program faculty, Gerald moved to UC Davis in 2014 with an appointment of assistant clinical professor. The graduates of 2012 and 2014 will remember Gerald fondly as they awarded him the Jack Cole Society Award at their commencement ceremonies. Gerald has had an exciting year, some of the work he began here at Yale has resulted in research grant awards to study health care teams and the impact of patient-centered medical homes on physician assistant education. Gerald is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistant Commission of Health of the Public, he serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Physician Assistant Education and was recently inducted as a fellow of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences.
