PREQUALIFICATION NOTICE OF PROVIDERS OF SUPPLIES AND SERVICES – 2024 TO 2027

Makerere University Lung Institute Limited is in the process of pre-qualifying providers who will be invited to bid\ quote from time to time, as and when a need arises for the provision of various supplies, services and works in the financial years 2024- 2027. Makerere University Lung Institute Limited now invites suitably qualified bidders to submit sealed pre-qualification documents for;

Category A (Supplies)

1. Supply of human drugs and medical sundries
2. Supply of toner, general office stationaries and supplies.
3. Supply of Information Technology (IT) equipment and accessories.
4. Supply of office furniture and fittings.
5. Supply of medical equipment and spares.
6. Supply of general sundries and toiletries.
7. Supply of brand new and used vehicles.
8. Supply of ACs, generators and fire extinguishers.

Category B (Services)

1. Printing services
2. Servicing and Calibration of medical equipment
3. Engraving and labelling services
4. Vehicle repair and maintenance
5. Construction works and renovations.
6. Servicing and maintenance of IT equipment
7. Servicing of air conditioners and fridges
8. Servicing of Fire extinguishers and smoke alarm detectors
9. Servicing & maintenance of generators
10. Outside Catering services
11. Customs clearing, forwarding and courier services.
12. Insurance services.
13. Travel and air ticketing services
14. Vehicle hiring services.
15. Hotel and conference services
16. Translation and transcription services
17. Architectural services
18. Movers and data archival services
19. Fumigation services
20. Consultancy services
21. Security services/equipment

Terms and conditions for pre-qualification

The pre-qualification will be conducted according to prequalification procedures specified in the PPDA regulations of the government of Uganda.

Bidders must attach to their applications copies of the following:

1. Detailed company profile including physical and postal address of the firm, office telephone number, e-mail address, facsimile address & telephone numbers of Directors.
2. Certificate of registration/ incorporation
3. Valid trading license
4. Names and addresses of bankers.
5. VAT Registration certificate.
6. General receipt (original) acknowledging payment of bid fee.
7. Audited books of accounts for the last 2 years
8. Valid Tax Identification Number
9. Income Tax Clearance Certificate

Interested eligible bidders may purchase pre-qualification documents at a non-refundable fee of 100,000 Uganda shillings (One hundred thousand shillings) per document from the Procurement office at Makerere University Lung Institute Limited starting from Thursday, 1^st February 2024 between 09:00am to 3:00Pm on working days.

Pre-qualification documents clearly marked: “Pre-qualification documents for the provision of supplies/ services to Makerere University Lung Institute Limited” must be delivered and registered to the address below:

The closing date for submission of bids shall be on Thursday, 29^th February 2024 at 3:00Pm.

Late submission shall be rejected out rightly and the entity will not be bound to accept any bid.
