Summary: In the past years there has been a marked improvement in the care of lung disease and more especially in the programs destined to controlling pulmonary tuberculosis. These achievements translate to an increased population that has been on treatment and has successfully recovered from infectious lung disease, the long term results from follow up however indicate that some of these populations that presented pulmonary cavitary lesions are prone to developing chronic pulmonary aspergilosis.
