Post-doctoral position available within the SUPPORT project (funded by Global Health EDCTP3): action
‘Supporting the next generation of African researchers on preventing HIV pediatric mortality through
a training network’, a highly multidisciplinary, international and competitive training program in
pediatrics research.
INDIVIDUAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The post-doctoral fellow will work on research projects related to the network applying a data
management plan and statistical analysis plan design, epidemiology, causal inference, semi-parametric
models, stochastic processes on networks and graphs, network communication processes, and reports.
The fellow will work with the other SUPPORT fellows to develop statistical methods and data resources
to strengthen each of the specific studies. The Postdoctoral fellow will conduct innovative
methodological research in an international environment of one-of-a-kind population-based
epidemiologic and microbiology studies and will build methodological and collaborative research
programs in concert with their scientific mentors.
The fellow will have the opportunity to co-author high-impact scientific publications, collaborate with
leading pediatric infectious disease researchers across Africa and Europe, and contribute directly to the
analysis of unique multi-country clinical trial and cohort datasets.
