Training on Chronic Asthma Care at Jinja Hospital
The Asthma Care in Africa (ACCA) project team has initiated a comprehensive training program on chronic asthma management at the Nalufenya Children’s Unit, Jinja Regional Referral Hospital. This training aims to build capacity among healthcare workers in the effective diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of pediatric asthma.
Led by Dr. Rebecca Nantanda, the training brings together experts and collaborators including Prof. Bruce Kirenga, Dr. Marie Kutesa, and Desmond Benja, with support from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).

This initiative reflects the ACCA project’s commitment to improving asthma care in Uganda through targeted training, research, and collaboration with frontline health professionals.
Stay tuned for more updates as the ACCA team continues to expand its reach and impact across the region.
